It is with great pleasure and confidence that we welcome you in our house, the Apartment Coração da Sé Porto.

The privileged location, and its comfort, together with its good thermal and acoustic capacity, to the quietness of Rua da Porta do Sol, and to its good standards of quality and interior maintenance, are details that make the Apartment Coração da Sé Porto a quiet and ideal place to relax and feel like in your own home and enjoy the moment.

Everything we have done and will continue to do is to provide you with an excellent, comfortable and unforgettable stay.

Open to those who visit us since July 2015, the Apartment Coração da Sé Porto has always been investing, in order to improve and innovate, providing greater quality and comfort to our guests.

In our ongoing effort to maintain and prove the legitimacy of the services we provide, in March 2017 we initiated a Trademark Application for the Apartment Coração da Sé Porto. After the registration process, our trademark was effectively approved and registered on 06/07/2017, NATIONAL TRADEMARK Nº 578855.

Historic Center of Porto is a World Heritage Site UNESCO 1996

The Apartment Coração da Sé Porto, is located in the Parish of the Cathedral, the Historic Center of Porto and World Heritage of Humanity - whose foundation, as a Municipality, remote to the year 1123, XII century.

On the 4^th of December 1996, in Merida-Mexico, UNESCO attributed the classification of World Cultural Heritage to only the following Parishes, or territories of the city of Oporto: Sé, São Nicolau, Vitória and Miragaia.

Historic Centre of Porto

By Decree/Law no. 67/97 of 31st of December, the Parishes of Miragaia, Vitória, Sé, Santo Ildefonso, Massarelos and São Nicolau were classified as Porto Historic Zone. It was not the whole city.

Currently Sé Parish is part of the Union of Parishes of Cedofeita, Santo Ildefonso, Sé, Miragaia, São Nicolau and Vitória.

 

Description of the Apartment Coração da Sé Porto

 

Living Room

The living room is large, decorated with pictures of the city and the region, which give the apartment a familiar and intimate touch, with the entrance door in solid Sapely wood and security lock. It has a modern oscillatable window, with details that give it greater thermal and acoustic comfort, facing the quiet Rua da Porta do Sol.

The floor is in solid wood of varnished North Oak.

It is equipped with two sofas with the colors of our logo, a coffee table and a center table, 32-inch Led cable TV with over 140 channels and free internet throughout the house.

The window is protected internally by wooden shutters and curtains.

It also has individually controlled air conditioning.

Room

With solid wood floor of North Oak, recently varnished. The bedroom has a double bed of 2.00x1.60 with a new comfortable mattress, bedside tables, a wardrobe, a dresser with mirror and has direct access to the terrace through a modern glass door. It has aluminum blinds and interior curtains.

Hall

The hall, distribution area of the house has a beautiful and traditional tiled lambrim, tiled floor and at the end of the hall is a beautiful mirror framed with natural solid Sapely wood.

Bathroom

The bathroom has tiled walls and tiled floors. It has, toilet, bidet, bath with shower ramp and emergency bell. There are wall-mounted dispensers for shower gel and shampoo. The washbasin is embedded in a suspended furniture with a blue glass top. On top of this is an illuminated mirror. We provide hand gel, hair dryer and towels.

Kitchen

It is a large well equipped kitchen with everything you need. Just look for it. All the walls are tiled and the floor has tiles. Plenty of lower and upper furniture leaves room to store everything. They are furniture in solid Portuguese chestnut wood.

It is equipped with electric cylinder that provides hot water for the whole house, electric hob, electric built-in oven, washing machine, refrigerator, microwave, ccapsules offee machine, toaster, electric juicer, kettle, magic wand, cutlery in addition to other smaller kitchen utensils.

The dining table has a decorated glass top and four chairs upholstered in gray leather synthetic.

The kitchen door, of excellent quality is all in glass, gives direct access to the Terrace. It has external blinds.

It has individually controlled air conditioning.

Terrace

The terrace, with lots of natural light, has mosaic floor being excellent for dining outside and sunbathing.

It has about 30 m2, is equipped with a table and four chairs. It overlooks the domes of the towers of the Church of Oporto Cathedral, a few meters to the left, to the city and to the Monastery of St. Bento da Victória, in front.

Windows

The window frames of the Apartment Coração da Sé Porto, are new, high quality, with great thermal and acoustic capacity. They have oscillateble, lacquered with Sapely Texture, of Cortizo brand, series COR 60, with thermal bridge ruture (RPT) in a polyamide rod of 24 mm wide, incorporated both in the rim and in the window. Laminated triple glazed class of 4+4+6 mm, 16mm chamber and Planitherm ultran glass.

They are safe, comfortable, environmentally friendly and easy to use.

Air Conditioning / Heating / Cooling

The heating and cooling of this apartment is done through the central and independent air conditioning system, with Mitsubishi A++ low noise indoor and outdoor units installed in the bedrooms, living room and kitchen. The exception goes to the bathroom which, for security reasons, has independent heating.

Garage

It is located at number 19 of this Street, inside a neighboring building less than 10 meters from the Apartment Coração da Sé Porto. We have this place for personal use however, and given the normal difficulties in parking - without paying - in a big city, we offer it to our guests, and at no additional cost or hidden fees. Whether it is good or bad, we offer what we have and for us, besides being an extra cost, has been of enormous use.

It is covered and has a gate operated by manual remote control. As a condition you only have to warn us, when they make the reservation, in case you want to use it.

Let it be clear that the daily price of the Apartment Coração da Sé Porto does not include the use of the garage or not. Any additional difficulty, which you may encounter or excuse from using it, has no influence on the price.

Security and Legality

The Apartment Coração da Sé Porto, is duly legalized by the Porto City Council, and Bomberos Sapadores of Porto, entities that supervised it, by the Tax and Customs Authority, the Immigration and Borders Service (SEF), ASAE and Turismo de Portugal under n.º 16682/AL.

We have all the security equipment in place and it is properly updated.

We have a complaints book.

Close the front door but only at night.

We are members of ALEP (Association of Local Accommodation) with no. 1091.

Bed Linen, Towels, Housekeeping and Details

The beds are ready to be used. They are equipped with linen and bath and face towels are provided.

If you would like a change of bedding, towels, or a house cleaning during your stay, you should ask for it when you make the reservation, or at the time of check-in, but there are additional costs.

If you need the service of a babysitter, please make the request in advance.

Details / House Rules

You must inform the Reservations Manager of the Apartment Coração da Sé Porto, at least 1 hour in advance, about your arrival at our address.

The Apartment Coração da Sé Porto accommodation closes at 24:00 local time.

No pets are allowed in this apartment.

Smoking is not allowed inside the Apartment. You can smoke on the Terrace.

We do not provide extra bed, or baby bed.

Details / Keys / Check-out

 At check-in two pairs of keys for the Apartment are provided and the garage remote, if used.

At departure, the keys must leave them inside the apartment.

Close all doors and windows, light, water and turn off the air conditioning.

In the event of loss or misplacement, you will have to pay for the all expenses, or proceed with their replacement.

Very Important / Night Noise

In case you leave the keys inside the main door and therefore can not enter the apartment, the costs that will result by this will be fully imputed to you.

Pay attention to the noise, especially the night noise you might make, be it music, conversations or parties, etc. The Law that regulates the noise stipulates that between 22:00 local time and 08:00 local time, no noise can be made, beyond what is normal, and is stipulated by Law, being able to incur fines ranging from €200.00 up to €2,000.00.

Places to visit near the apartment Coração da Sé

 

Given the location of the apartment, the use of the car becomes unnecessary.
All means of transport and places to visit are close by.
Leaving the apartment and turning left, you will see the back of the National Theatre São João, (TNSJ) that is facing the Batalha Square, Santa Catarina Street, 31 de January, and Manuel Passos, and the most commercial places of the city.
Leaving the apartment, turning to your right, you have in a few meters a granite stairways. At bottom of the stairway and on your right, you find Sé Cathedral and Metro. Turning to the left, the Guindais Funicular, the Fernandina Wall, and many other places of tourist and historical interest.

 

 

On your left, Augusto Rosa Street and from here you can take the old tram and travel around the city. You can also take the funicular Guindais and arrive on the banks of the Douro in just 2 minutes. Take the tour of six bridges. It's a 50 minute trip that becomes unforgettable.
From this apartment you are close to everything important. Come have fun and discover this wonderful city, its people, their customs and their gastronomy.
